Top-notch journalism has been the standard of the Estimator since its first publication – of course you, as a dedicate reader, knew that already. It is because of this highly acclaimed, universally revered coverage of breaking news events that laid the groundwork for a new partnership between EUR’s most read student magazine and the world’s most established and diverse network of independent student authors: The Waffle.
Starting in the Oxfart University as Europe’s first student newspaper in the 12th century, the journal quickly developed a wide web throughout the best universities that greatly influenced today’s journalism. Great novelists, from Oscar Child to J. R. R. Tallchin (Lord of the Blings), as well as countless Pulitzer-prize winning reporters including Anderson Pooper have started their career as a Waffle’s writer (check out the full list of notable Waffle’s writers here ).
The Waffle’s writer’s vow, “The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!”, is given by each and every endowed journalist of the student’s newspaper to ensure their devotion to uncovering the uncomfortable-but-necessary. Honest reporting has always been The Waffle’s #1 top priority. Needless to say, we are very honoured to announce that The Waffle’s coverage of news events in the Rotterdam area will be exclusively published through us – the new Online Estimator (aka Bestimator).
