10 things econometricians don't say

As an econometrician at the Erasmus University, you have probably come to understand that there are certain things you don’t say. They’re just not right. Estimator has collected the ten most important ones:

  1. We can accept this null hypothesis.
  2. I had a 10 for Introduction to Statistics.
  3. In my free time I ….
  4. IBEB is hard.
  5. It doesn’t matter if you switch or not in the 3-door problem.
  6. There are other studies in Rotterdam that are harder than econometrics.
  7. If you throw heads with a coin, the probability of another heads increases.
  8. I do not just know this proof by hard, I really understand it.
  9. I always arrive in the lecture 5 minutes late.
  10. I don’t need to take notes, because I can make pictures of the lecturer’s notes.
