Active Members Dinner

The start of an academic year means welcoming all the new active members and of course getting to know each other. What better way to do that, than with a Mexican-themed Active Members Dinner?

Monday, the third of October, was filled with colourful sombreros, fake moustaches and, of course, lots of fun. We all gathered at restaurant Amigo to eat Mexican food and to show off our creativity with our costumes. For example, we had some fanatics walking around with caps on, that said: “Make FAECTOR great again” and also, a few wannabe gangsters (aka the Marketing Committee).

Every table started off with a game of “Who Am I”, while waiting for starters. We also got to enjoy the perk of ordering an unlimited amount of drinks, while watching each other with post-its stuck on our foreheads.

After that, we switched chairs once again. Every table got a little basket with all sorts of challenges. If you could complete yours without anyone noticing, you earned points for your committee in the Committee battle. This resulted in people stealing each other’s forks, ordering Fristi, and sipping someone else’s drink.

Having enjoyed some tiny burrito’s, spareribs and chorizo, we switched tables another time for dessert. And let’s be honest here, no one can be unhappy while being served churros, brownies and ice cream.

Sadly, the night had to come to an end, but we definitely got to know each other better and had a lot of fun. All in all, I am sure that all of us cannot wait for the next Active Members activity!
