Who’s who? – Introducing the Education Committee

If you are an econometrics or BSc² student, we – the Education Committee Econometrics & Operations Research – are your contact for any matters that concern your courses or programme! The committee consist of eight members, four professors and four students, and together we bring forward suggestions of university staff and students to improve the econometric bachelor and master programmes. You might not have been aware of this, but we have contributed a great deal to some of the major changes in the recent years: for example, mandatory attendance for second-and-higher year tutorials has been repealed, and unlike those studying four years before you, you have the possibility of an exchange semester without any delay of your graduation.

But of course, not everything we do turns out to be ground breaking – at least not immediately. One of our major responsibilities is assisting first and second year student representatives to communicate suggestions to the lecturers. Having learned from the experiences over the last years, we believe that good communication between course instructors and students is crucial to obtain the high level of educational quality Erasmus School of Economics offers. Therefore, we would like to make sure that you know who to contact if you would want to voice any concerns, suggestions or opinions about your courses and the programme in general!

Please do not hesitate to contact us via email (EECStudentMembers@ese.eur.nl) or directly on campus should you have any remarks or questions about our work! We wish you the best of luck with your exam preparations, and look forward to hearing for you!
