This is the first in a series of articles in which we present all new committees that started in February. We asked everyone to tell something about themselves and to answer two of our 'nice' questions and two of our 'awkard questions'.

Konnichiwa all my (Japanese) FAECTOR friends! Perhaps you already know me, my name is Mitchell and I’m the supervisor of the awesome Marketing Committee. This is the very first year for FAECTOR with a Marketing Committee (a.k.a. MC) and I’m very proud of the creative and shiny committee who is making this to a great success. I try to keep my introduction short, because it’s Wednesday evening and 'Dumpert Reeten (met Gwen!)' is online right now! This is one of my favourite shows at the moment, behind Geordie Shore and the Six Nations Tournament (Rugby). Finally, The Red Rose will win this competition. Following this remarkable event, I will eat less than ever and become less fat than Emrys Koomen (the right one in the photo). I hope to see all of you during the next events FAECTOR organises. The 51st Board, especially the new IT Officer and Marketing Officer.

I can be serious.
Who is the most sexy FAECTOR member?
Jitte Dingenouts, mainly cause she likes the Estimator posts quite often and she loves food (HAS).
What was the most awkward moment in your life?
Taking the moving staircase downstairs by the Metro of Kralingse Zoom when there is some person with a mental disorder wanting to go upstairs at the same time.

Dear members of the beloved Faculty Association of Econometrics & Operations Research,
Some of you might know me already but for those who don’t I will briefly introduce myself. My name is Mateusz Galle (yeah, with a –z), mostly better known as Teusz, Teus, Teuzs, Teuszellll, Theus, Theusz or Jreuhz for when you are really drunk. I’m a third years Econometrics student and next to FAECTOR also a member of student association Laurentius and investment association B&R Beurs. I became a real Active Member since the beginning of this year when I returned from my exchange of the coldest Scandinavian country out there: Finland.
As the appointed chairman of the new Marketing Committee I am responsible for the ‘zooitje ongeregeld’ that presents themselves here, but I can assure you that these Marketeers will design the most beautiful posters, flyers and booklets (only on A4) you have ever seen, provide the most awesome gadgets and merchandise you have ever had and do their best make our association known with every person around and outside the EUR. Oh, and we also are responsible for the Almanac, so be nice to us or you might see a witlof photoshopped next to your picture, or worse...

What is your favourite karaoke song?
I think I can count the songs of MarCo Borsato – Rood, MarCo Borsato – All I Want For Christmas Is You or of course the classic MarCo Borsato – Now Watch me Whip as one of my favourites, but if I have to be serious I would choose Backstreet Boys – I Want It That Way or Britney Spears – I’m a Slave 4 U which I sang night in night out at all the karaoke bars around Helsinki. Tell me why.
What are you a secret fan of?
Okay.. eh, I don’t really know how to say this so I think I might just describe my biggest idol like this: when you put me in a room together with a Spotify playlist of only Taylor Swift songs it will not take a lot to keep me from singing and dancing just as hysterically as some teenage girls at a One Direction concert or Bas Vringer at a Justin Bieber concert.
Who is the most sexy FAECTOR member?
I would say Mitch van Cittert or Emrys Komen, but since ladyboys usually don’t count my first pick would be Jeroen van Dijk. I mean come on, those soft arms, perfect nails, high Puma underpants and then that cute face. I don’t know any other girl in FAECTOR that looks better.
What was the worst failure in your life?
To ever choose to ride on my bicycle behind Marieke Vester and Carolijn de Kok after a night in club BED. One moment you think you can ride faster than Lance Armstrong, the other moment your brakes don’t work and you lay face first on the nice cold pavement of the Coolsingel in front of the HAS. At least I still had a Dürüm döner met extra saus, which was nice.

For those of you readers that don't know me I'll briefly introduce myself. They call me Arjan, I'm a third year student and just became an active member at FAECTOR. So far it has been an amazing time with suitcases full of fun. Furthermore I'm a member at B&R Beurs and proudly represent Floryn Traders.
What is your favorite karaoke song?
That has to be Angels by Robbie Williams. Fun FAECT: I once performed on a boat with over 5100 people on it.
Who are you secretly a fan of?
I adjusted this question just a little bit to be able to finally be open-hearted about my biggest idol Ivo. The readers might be thinking: “Ivo? Is that the guy from the Estimator Committee?” I have to disappoint you guys here: obviously I meant Ivo Niehe. Ever since I saw his performance in the Moga d'Or I've been on a pink cloud. Not a single day passes by without me being reminded by what an unanimously ridiculously great success that was.
What are your dirty fantasies?
I feel a bit ashamed to go public with this information since its very personal and it will most likely change your way of looking at me entirely. Oh well let's get it over with. When I'm home alone, or sometimes even at the Polak building, I fantasize about an AR(51) model and how it has such amazing forecasts. Every now and then I even think of it as a person rather than just a model, especially when it has an AIC that is close to pi :$.
What is the most awkward moment in your life?
As an econometrician, the awkward moments form the fundament of my life. However the most awkward moment has to be the application for the marketing committee, when I walked into the office I saw one of the board members (can't quite remember the name) being dressed as a ladyboy. It made me feel a little uncomfortable but it all got worse when he turned out to be our supervisor.

What a nice surprise you’ve started to read something about me. As you probably all know I am the girl with the pencil point in her arm and the girl who becomes even more red-headed when she has had some drinks. I’m 18 years old and enjoying the first year of my study so far. Although I’m only three weeks in de Marketing Committee, I can tell you that the meetings are great. Especially on Tuesday night when I go to Bed with my boys. I can’t write too long about this amazing experience because for my committee homework I still have to watch ‘Dumpert Reeten’, so I will answer my questions quickly but truthfully.
What is your hidden talent?
Not panicking when I lose my phone, wallet, credit card, OV-card, coat, jewellery, money, sunglasses, passwords or dignity because I believe they will come back to me (which they mostly don’t unfortunately).
What is your favourite karaoke song?
Sweet Caroline (especially the chorus because I don’t know the rest of the lyrics).
What was the worst failure in your live?
Not making it into the Eerstejaarscommissie.
What was the most awkward moment in your life?
Letting our president drive to a swimming pool somewhere in Gelderland to get my wallet because I forgot something again – sorry Luc.

I’m glad you are taking the time to get to know me a little bit better. Let’s starts off with a quick introduction about myself. My name is Michael, 19 years old, and I’m a member of the Marketing Committee. Currently I am in my first year of Econometrics and I’m loving it so far. As a freshman I quickly discovered FAECTOR as a great and fun faculty association, so I decided to become an active member and apply for the Marking Committee, which is of course the most fun committee you could ever join ;) !!
In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, party and play the drums. Oh, and don’t forget my love for math.

My favourite karaoke song must be ‘I want it that way’ by the Backstreet Boys, don’t ask me why.
