Cycling Dinner

On Thursday the 27th of March, around 70 Faectorians cycled all through Rotterdam to have a self-cooked three course dinner! This lovely activity was the first event that was organised by the Event Committee.

The idea is quite simple: Together with a friend, you had to prepare either an appetiser, main course or dessert at one of your places, with a special holiday as an overarching theme. For the other two dishes, you had to hop on your bike and cycle to the other couples’ houses. In this way, you could work up your appetite while enjoying the lovely weather outside (the sun was shining very brightly!). However, it was still a secret who you were going to dine with: You would find out when the door opened and (un)known faces would show up. This made the evening even more exciting!

For the appetiser the clear trend was garlic bread, combined with for example tomato soup or mozzarella-tomato sticks. The main course was a little more diverse: burgers, falafel, spaghetti, and much more was served to the guests. To end the three-course dinner, dessert was presented, and many delicious pictures were shared: pepernoten, tiramisu, brownies… Candy lovers could eat their heart out.

To end the night in style, everyone gathered at Concordia after dinner to enjoy some well-deserved drinks (because we hadn’t had enough yet ;))!
